The Medulla and Brain Stem are the most important structures in the brain. Although the entire brain makes up who we are and how we function, the medulla and brain stem are what keeps our vital organs going. We would not survive without thses two structures. I've heard of a girl who didn't have a brain but lived off her brain stem.
I think the most important part of the brain is the hypothalamus. It controls your hormone secretion. If something happens to it, a person will go crazy. They will have severe mood swings.
i agree with brantley because even though the other parts do make up our thinking skills and our senses we do need the medulla and brain stem to function anyway.
i think the brain is important it self, because if u dont have one part of the brain than it wouldnt function right. i believe the brain needs all its parts to function like it's suppose to. :)
i agree with shetika that the brain in a whole is important, becouse if you think about it if one part dont work the rest will slowly but surly fall appart aswell. like if one persons hypothalamus starts to malfunction then they will not have the production of hormones then that will throw off another part of the brain.
I agree with Brantley when she says that ther Medulla and the brain because the brain is responsible for automatic survival functions and the Medulla controls life-supporting functions such as breathing and heartbeat.
I agree with Brantley. We can survive from the brain stem. The medulla helps to keep the rest of our body going. Thats why I think that the medulla and brain stem is the most important parts out of it. Even though we need the whole thing to keep us "together".
I think the Hypothalamus and the Medulla are the most important part of the brain. The hypothalamus crontols the hormones and the medulla keeps the heart pumping and us breathing.
I do not believe there is one particular part of the brain that is any more important than the others. Each segment has its specific function that relates to our body and behavior.
brantley really does make a good point. also, isnt the brain stem the part that basically holds you up?? i mean.. if its damaged, that means you are likely to die so it has to be important
Because of the way you phrased that question, I would say that the cerebrum is the most important part. It is the most important to my human functioning because it controls everything that a human being normally does I know that the brain stem and medulla are important but damage to your cerebrum could cause you to become a vegetable, for a lack of a better word sorry couldn't help myself
I agree with brantley. the brain stem and medulla are the most important parts of the brain because they keep us functioning. even though the whole brain makes up who we are.
i think that the frontal lobe is the most improtant because it makes up who we are. if that part of us gets damaged then we can lose everything that we had.
I'm with Shetika. I can't say one part is more important than the other because your brain works as a whole. It's like getting a new car with no engine.
I think that the whole brain and the way it uses different portions i conjunction with each other is vital for normal human function. But if i had to narrow it down i would say the brain stem or the cerebrum because these are the most important and essential parts for basic survival. Many scientists believe that the intricate human brain evolved from the brain stem.

I agree with brantley because with out the brain stem and such the "messages" wouldnt be able to get to the rest of our body.

The brain stem because it sends messages though out the cell and those messages help of function
